Fundraising Begins

DID YOU KNOW?

  • The Benton County Fair is a 501C Non-Profit Organization that receives no federal or local funding.  All funding is a direct result of proceeds from the Annual Fair in September, facility rental income, and private donations.
  • The cost to maintain fairground operations is over $210,000 annually!  The majority of expenses are driven by utility costs and insurance coverage for a multimillion dollar facility.
  • 2007-2008 revenue was down $70,000 due to the inclement weather consisting of two hurricanes that hit during the week of the fair, impacting attendance drastically.  The combined cost of fair, facility operating expenses, real estate purchases from years past and the lost revenue has resulted in an accumulated $200,000 debt.
  • Our Benton County Fair is rated as the #1 County Fair in Arkansas.

Funding for the Benton County Fairgrounds is an immediate issue.  As residents of Benton County, we must face the realization of this very serious financial shortfall.  We are asking for your immediate support to secure the future of the Benton County Fairgrounds for the next generations, through an organized capital fundraiser.

Your Fair is rich in tradition for so many families in Benton County and needs your support now to continue this legacy for future generations. Simply put, we are asking you to generously join us in addressing the need and supporting the solution.  Funds raised will be used for debt reduction, capital improvements, and operating expenses.  This will allow Benton County Fairgrounds to continue in community service programs, securing equipment, facility construction and continued improvements to attract individuals, businesses, organizations and events to the Benton County Fairgrounds and Expo Center.

There are several ways that you can help as a business, or corporate sponsor, or an individual donation.

By contributing an Annual Donation, you or your business will be recognized and celebrated on our Wall

of Fame at the Benton County Fairgrounds and Expo Center.
